
Lampedusa and its Beaches
The
coast of the island, approximately 26 km long, is very interesting and
varied: transparent crystal, rocks sculpted by water and weather, white
sandy beaches, bays, creeks, ravines, deep in shades of blue and shallow
waters where there is reflected in a mirror.
To
the north, the coast, high and steep, is majestic with cliffs and sea
stacks that stand clear waters with incredible colors and
transparencies. Along this stretch there are numerous coves that often hide beautiful coves and bays that are accessed only by sea.
The
south side has a lower cost and coves ending in white sand beaches, the
only island in the Strait of Sicily, some of which, national heritage,
are protected by nature reserve island of Lampedusa, like the famous
beach of the Island Rabbits, where sea turtles "Caretta caretta" lay their eggs.
Cala
Pisana: is from the town center along the airport road and turn left
the last traverse, continuing until you reach a concrete pier and the
bottom of the inlet is the small beach and a beautiful sea.
Cala
Uccello: on the road to Cala Pisana turning right along a dirt path
leads a few hundred meters on a steep where it sees the airport runway
and a small hidden beach. Bird Cove, a good alternative for those who want beaches are not particularly crowded.
Cala Maluk: is an inlet on the east side of the island and reach the road that leads to Cala Francese. As soon as you are on the left turn, across the street from the pier, addressed the small hill, turn left onto the straight. Immediately after the curve and looking down here is the bay of Cala Maluk with its beach.
Cala Greca: taking the road that leads to head west, past the shrine of Our Lady Porto Unless you find a small hill that leads to a straight. After 200 meters on the left you can see the campsite Rock. Skirting the forest of acacia trees in the campsite, we reach the small beach of white sand facing a blue sea.
Cala
Galera: To reach this beach along the road to head west and pass the
Camping La Rocca travel about 700 feet, reaching a cluster of dammusi.
From here you can admire the spectacular valleys that are home to Cala Galera. A small path that winds coil inside the building leading to the summit of the valley on whose mouth comes Cala Galera.
Cala
Francese: to get exotic Cala Francese, you must identify the wharf of the
port and turn left to the last street before the dock. Walk
along the straightaway before coming close to the radar and then at the
fork, turn left, passing the airport for about 300 meters until you
reach a small valley from which to look right, you can see the beach. French
Cove has a sand beach almost always very popular, thanks to the many
rocks outcropping offers visitors (equipped with mask and snorkel)

Guitgia
Beach: is the most famous beach of the island, one that offers more
services, in front of Turquoise Bay, in short, all visitors can already

October.
Cala Croce is a wonderful bay with
two beaches and is reached, starting from the beach Guitgia the road to
head west (on this road towards the sea are all outputs for the other
beaches on the island) . At
the second street on left (marked by a sign) is the dirt path that leads
to Cala Croce, a beach and sea life, with an excellent catering
service, sun loungers and umbrellas.
Cala Madonna and Porto N'Tone:The two beaches are just to turn left, next to the Cala Croce. After
200 meters you reach a crossroads, turning right leads to the Cala
Madonna, that left at Porto N'Tone reminiscent Cala Croce although
smaller, and is ideal for families with children find it a kiosk service
bars, rent chairs and umbrellas. Cala
Madonna, with gray sand beach, a sea of dreams and beautiful grounds,
offers different points of view of flora and fauna as well as being an
ideal launching point for fishing.
Spiaggia dei Conigli: the entrance to the beach is the road to head west. At
the roundabout signposted to the beach park and descend to the sea
beginning to see the most beautiful beach of the Mediterranean. There
is full national park managed by Legambiente, for this is the protected
area where the turtles lay their eggs "Caretta caretta".
Cala Pulcino: beautiful white sand beach with fascinating caves and brilliant turquoise sea. This
is from the sea shortly after the island of rabbits, last resort island
before meeting the great cliffs with beautiful colors and beautiful
caves.
